So a vague notice went up a couple days ago about attacks in the hallways and warning of mind control.

Captain Ryan’s not a big fan of mind control, despite never having been subjected to it himself. Still, that someone is running around causing trouble, yet again, and Security can’t seem to stop it, yet again, has put him in a rather grumpy mood.

Urquhart has never met a werewolf. But he notices the scowling man, from where he is leaning by the fireplace.

He is watching people. He only arrived today and intends to find his way around here soon.

That's nice. We can't say Ryan particularly cares, beyond noticing someone else keeping an eye on the room.

Interesting, that.

The someone wears a dark cloak and has a small, odd crossbow at his belt.

And he's quietly listening to what people are saying.

Not terribly odd. Ryan himself is in dark coloured civvies with a P226 at his belt.

He doesn't usually bother with what people are saying. It tends not to be that interesting, but watching the Door, well. There's something he doesn't mind paying attention to. It's a little hint of where people are coming from, or going to.

There's another, less grumbly, werewolf, ensconced in her usual chair by the fire place. In fact, he might recognise it as the same chair she was sitting in the very first time he saw her.

And as usual, she has her nose in a book.

She's always the less grumbly werewolf.

For now, Ryan's content to keep an eye on her from here. A silent guardian, if you will.

She's kicked off her boots, and turned sideways in the arm chair, her bare feet rubbing over one another. It's warm enough by the fire to enjoy having her shoes off. (She was never one much for wearing shoes before she was turned, but now, only the weather or harsh terrain can keep her in boots.)

She's caught his scent, of course, and a tiny smile emerges. She doesn't look up just yet. (Canine is probably the most wonderful language she's ever learned to speak.)

On your way to the forge?

She peeks at him over the top of her book.

Thinking about it, he answers, eyes looking over the room. Perhaps the pell.

Something involving hitting.

The nervous werewolf knew better than to go poking anybody growly. Especially a fellow wolf. Well, he might poke Tully, but he had his own reasons to do so. He was extra twitchy on account of being Bound at the moment too.

He glanced over and then asked, "How can you stare at it for so long? I always feel half sick after two minutes."

Ryan looked at the speaker, making eye contact before blinking.

"Fireworks," he says simply. If he thinks of them as fireworks, it never seems as much a problem.

He considered that, and then nodded, "I suppose. Still some of them seem awfully swirly for fireworks. More so when it loops."

He arches an eyebrow at the other 'wolf.

"Then don't watch it for so long." Simple!
