The monster asks, "What are you doing?" and she does not mean the obvious.

She would rather take him apart, but this will do for now.

"I did gather that much."

"Does it bother you?"

Annabeth is watching Demeter very intensely.

Not everyone can do something like that, as far as she's concerned.

Demeter looks up at her, she feels slightly like that boy she met before, Poseidon's son,

"Hello, child."

That would probably be because she is. And she'd be surprised to know Percy's met this woman before.

"Hi." She blinks. "Sorry. It's just -"

She gestures to the gun, covered in vines.

"I've never liked them. Who's child are you?"

"Greetings, Demeter," Teja says, walking up to her. "What are you doing with the fire-weapon?"

"Taking it apart."

The metal starts to crack as the vines tighten.

"Why do you not just make sure it is not loaded, and cast it upon my forge-fire?" Teja asks.

If one wishes to destroy a thing made of metal, the best way is to melt it!

"I enjoy doing it this way."

"That is an interesting from of gun control Ma'am"

Demeter gives him a look,

"No, its a form of destruction."

[mr_ryan_wolfe]

He bites the inside of his cheek then nods.

"That I agree with. That gun do something to you? Or do you dislike all firearms?"

"I felt like destroying it."
