*Bernard makes his way out of the Staff Quarters, looking... not too bad. He's got his newspapers in his hand.

He gets a cup of coffee and a bagel from the bar and sits at his table, reading.

His face turns grim.*

*Bernard spies her over the top of the paper, and his eyes crinkle with mirth. He nudges her with a foot.*

*She nudges him back and wrinkles her nose at him.*

*From behind the paper*

And what have you been up to lately?

*He looks up from his paper and almost spits out his mouthful of coffee.*

Eris wanders over, munching on an apple.

*He lights a cigarette*

"Well, sometimes you get good news. And sometimes there's funny news. But yeah, there really is too much bad news these days."

She grins at him and sits across from him.

"Hello. I'm Eris."

*His eyebrows fly up, and he almost looks worried.*

*Bernard's mouth twists in a nasty half-smile*

Bartleby spots him from behind the bar and nods in greeting.

*Bernard nods back, in a foul mood.*

Normally, Bartleby would respect that foul mood, but he has a purpose. He'll keep it short though. He makes his way to Bernard's table. "Hey. Don't suppose you saw my notice?"

*He rubs his eyes, suddenly tired.*

No, I must have missed it. The fucking board fills up fast lately.
