Why are there so many women in the bar? Teja wonders, looking up from the magazine on motorcycles that he is reading by now.

Chuck is oblivious to the others, but anyone who wants to have a slice is more than welcome to help themselves.

She hops up onto a barstool, pie box and all.

Teja cannot tell a pie box from any other box; but his cat comes over and hops onto the bar, curious about the smell.

"Well, hey there, cat," Chuck says, reaching over to give it a little scritch.

The box isn't open completely, but it might be enough for someone to stick a tiny paw through.

Sallie's waiting for Mike.

That doesn't mean she won't carry on conversations with other folk if they drop by her table. She has enough tea for two.

[ooc: Surprise me! Also may have to beg slow tagging. :( Lazy Sunday?]

Izzie's still blinking sun spots out of her eyes, or still getting used to the dimmer lighting inside the bar, or something.

Either way, it all contributes to her not exactly looking where she's going.

And she doesn't drop by Sallie's table so much as bumps right into it.

"Oh! God, I'm sorry."

The tea sloshes out of Sallie's cup into her lap; she stands to jump uselessly out of the way of the hot drink.

"Oh gorrami--it's okay, it's just...y'know. Hot."

A tiny laugh. "Can you go get me a towel?"

"Of course," Izzie murmurs, immediately apologetic, and rushes off to the bar, leaving her sunhat on a chair.

Moments later, she returns with a towel and hands it, shamefacedly, to Sallie.

Beckett glances up, lifting an eyebrow questioningly.

"What makes you say that?"

As I slip in to start a slowtime during lunch?

Tyler isn't what you'd really consider dangerous. Occasionally armed sure, but the rest?

"Evening."

The rest in this case being a manuscript back from the publisher that needs some polishing, a large cup of coffee and a red marker pen.

The writers are everywhere.

Beckett returns the greeting with a nod and eyes the manuscript with a certain curiosity.

Seems as though she attracts a specific kind, doesn't she?

Paper, coffee and pen hit the table in quick succession.

"Horror novel. If I do the editing here I get more free time back home."

And since he's the only one that seems to be from his world so far?

"Tyler Darrow. New York, 1997."

Just as possibly, is that Tyler has a thing for dangerous women. Usually, they're blonde, but well...
