He was technically meant to be in the infirmary still. But he could only lay down for so long. He's sure after removing the piece of equipment on his finger that the monitors would go off. It'd no doubt alert Keller to his escape. But at the present moment he didn't care. Moving towards the door (even if it wasn't at a normal pace), he walks out it ( Read more... )

Lorne has really gotten used to Milliways being a place he can go to get away from all the craziness that is Atlantis. Sure, Teyla comes in every so often, but he's come to think of it as his haven. Somewhere he can be just himself instead of an airman.

And he really, really didn't want to run into his CO here, all things considered.

But he can't ignore the guy. Not when he comes in looking like that.

"Sir?"

That voice... Wait, when did one of his men end up...? Oh, he was one confused Colonel. Really, really confused. After all this whole predicament was confusing. He didn't even know how in the hell he got there. Nor has he noticed that the door is gone at the moment.

"Major."

The tone in his voice we're sure is one that says he wants an explanation. Or something close to one.

Lorne goes for the 'I have nothing to hide approach,' figuring that's his best option at the moment.

"First time?"

Not that he hasn't stumbled into the bar looking like a refugee from the infirmary himself a time or two, but the look on Sheppard's face and the tone in his voice would seem to suggest that.

What the hell kind of question was that? Of course it was. He'd never seen this place before in his life. And the fact that his Major wasn't being forthcoming with the information wasn't helping matters much either.

"I've never seen it before in my life."

"You!"

A tall, pale, grim and black-haired man rises from his seat in anger as he sees Shephard standing by the door.

What the...?! He turns a bit seeing that tall, pale, grim and black-haired man rise from his seat. Didn't sound like the man was too happy. Far from it in fact.

Though to be honest, Sheppard has no clue what in the world the man is targeting him for. He doesn't know the man.

"You dare show your face, in this place of all?" the dark man hisses at him when he's come close enough to hiss. "That is ripe!"

There is a boy. He is tall enough to be in his early teens, young enough in the face not to be there yet. He is green, and looks like he was molded out of plastic.

He is staring at Sheppard in absolute horror.

He's not noticed the boy just yet. Not until he surveys the bar a bit more and notices him. He's green and... well, he's not sure what. But he doesn't like the look on the boy's face. Not in the least bit.

"You alright, kid?"

He's going to like this look even less.

"Who are you?" he demands. "Right now, or I'll call Security."

"Call Security for what? All I did was ask if you were alright. I don't know you, kid. But if you want left alone that's fine too."

"Welcome to Milliways John Shepherd," said a very tall greyish green wraith sitting at a table nearby with a strange blue swirling drink and a tablet.

He turns hearing that familiar voice. What the hell...? "Todd." This was becoming a bit much for him. It really was. Damn bar at the end of the universe. That is what the Major had called it. Wasn't it?

"I'm finding it a bit... odd. I think I'd rather be home right now. Though I can't say the atmosphere isn't good."

When Charlie, who hasn't been paying a lot of attention lately to the patrons coming in and out, looks up and sees Sheppard, he blinks.

Repeatedly. And stares, though it is completely different in intent than usual.

"Well, hell."

It's better than getting yelled at. Or having someone look at you like they're scared witless of you. But hearing that unfamiliar voice, he looks towards it and raises a brow.

After all, he didn't know this person.

He...doesn't tend to yell as much as Teja does, no. And strictly speaking he's not scared of Sheppard; just...incredibly confused, right now. Might as well.

Charlie stands, and makes his way towards the man, tucking his hands in his pockets. "I don't know you, I have to preface with that. But you...were in one of my dreams, a while back. Did you...intend to be?"

He watches the other man rise from where he'd been and come towards him. Great... another one. Though this one seemed... calmer. That was a step up. Well... maybe.

"No, I didn't. And it wasn't me. It was my doppelganger."
