He was technically meant to be in the infirmary still. But he could only lay down for so long. He's sure after removing the piece of equipment on his finger that the monitors would go off. It'd no doubt alert Keller to his escape. But at the present moment he didn't care. Moving towards the door (even if it wasn't at a normal pace), he walks out it intending to head back to his quarters or to the East Pier. Though that's not what happens... he has to stop and stare at the bar that he's just walked into. He doesn't recall Atlantis holding a bar like this. Maybe it was the pain meds...
