"Are you drunk?" Carlotta asks incredulously from the rafters.

[candied_rabbit]

"Huh?"

It takes Momiji a few seconds before he realizes that question was directed at him. He turns and starts to look up at the girl, and...

Woooah, he needs to sit down. (Thankfully, there's a chair near enough that he can flop down on it rather than tumbling back onto his butt.)

"Carlotta!" he chirrups. "'Course not! Unless somebody spiked my milkshake earlier."

He giggles, taking the question as a total joke.

Okay, that's not so good. Carlotta jumps down and peers at him closely.

"You sound drunk." she says suspiciously. "Are you feeling all right? Did you hit your head or anything?"

"Nooo."

Momiji has apparently decided to mimic her, as he just peers back, playfully squinting - though, his small, terribly amused smile isn't quite a match for her expression.

"'M fine, honest! I was just outside having a snack."

Then, because it occurs to him to mention it: "I accidentally switched into a rabbit for a while."

Which might explain why he's missing one of his long socks and has forgotten to do a few of the buttons, up and down his shirt.
