All the times before when Joris has arrived at Milliways, he's usually been right in the middle of some sort of fight or other situation. The door here has more than likely saved his life no few times by appearing right as needed- even if he never looked for it ( Read more... )

There's a girl with her auburn hair tied up in a bandanna, bringing a large tray of freshly-baked and exceedingly fragrant cinnamon rolls out into the bar. The timing is such that she catches the last of his bemused statement.

"What're both red?"

"The color things- the pieces of fabric Vanessa was looking at." Joris rolls his eyes, then looks over at Rae.

"She asked me which color I thought was nicer, but..." He shrugs, still looking baffled.

"Then she started going on about how they were different, with Elsa asking if I couldn't tell they were different."

The tray, smelling strongly of home-made dough, roasted walnuts, cinnamon and warm, gooey icing, is set down.

The girl's look is quizzical.

Then it clears. "A red wedding dress?" She remembers the fiasco the last time one of the coffeehouse's waitresses got married.

The cake, at least, had been phenomenal, Sunshine is proud to say.

Joris blinks, and then nods. "I guess it isn't traditional in her world? But it is for the Khans, and she said she's fine with that- or else she wouldn't be marrying Konstam. But now she's going over what sort of color red she wants, and-" He tosses his hands up.

"Even worse, she has Elsa with her and she's getting all- all crazy about this too!"

And of course, in order to escape from Vanessa, Joris is missing out on lunch, back home. He's trying to not eye the cinnamin rolls. Really.
