Shufti is in a booth, keeping an eye out for suspicious people or anyone who wants to pass on information.

She's not the lead on the case, but she's been keeping an eye on things in order to do her bit. Her security badge is visible pinned to her front, and she's polishing her sword on the table.

Jane doesn't know the woman but she is wearing a Security badge so she comes over with a small smile,

"Pardon me, ma'am, what has happened recently? I have never felt Milliways to be so tightly strung before."

"Please sit down." Shufti says, not wanting to talk too loudly. She smiles reassuringly, if sadly.

"I'm afraid there's been a death. Security is working on the case so please try not to be alarmed. We're trying not to cause panic, so I'd appreciate it if you keep it quiet."

With a nod, Jane sits down,

"Oh, I do understand and I will not."

"His name was West Rosen. Did you know him?" Shufti asks gently, knowing this is a difficult time for those who did.

"I'm Betty Manickle-Johnson, but everyone calls me Shufti."

Except her husband and kids, who call her Betty and Mom respectively.

Gus spots the badge she's wearing, and can't help but wander over. He knows he should probably be keeping his head down right now, but he can't help being just a little curious.

Never mind that every time he is, it leads to bad things.

"I heard something happened here the other night?" he asks. "You know what happened?"

"Depends what you heard." Shufti says, gesturing for him to sit down.

"I'm Shufti Manickle-Johnson, I don't think we've met."

Gus hesitates a moment before doing as she says. There is, after all, a rather large sword on the table.

"Gus. Gus Dickinson," he says.

"Someone told me that someone else got killed the other night," he says quietly. "And not like, he fell on his own pitchfork or nothing, but they didn't tell me much else."

"Yes, that's correct." Shufti says. "Do you know a West Rosen?"

And she is joined by her husband. "Hey love." A quick kiss, and he sits down. "Wassup?"

Shufti kisses him back.

"Investigating the murder." She says, with a small sad sigh. "I'm not the lead on the case, but I'm just keeping an eye out, being a visible Security presence."

"Looking for someone with a guilty face, or acting all sneaky?" He nods, both would be good ideas. Murderers often enough stand out in some way...

"Both, or anyone with information." Shufti says.

"It's not really my field - I'm better at being stronger than I look than investigating death. But we all have to do what we can."

She smiles slightly.

"Did you book Leah's birthday party?"

"Greetings," Teja says when he recognises the wife of his friend CJ. "How does your family fare?"

"Doing well thank you." Shufti says, nodding at him with a small smile. "Leah is about to have her first birthday, Jack is out of nappies and keeping us on his toes, and CJ is good as always. How are you?"

"I am" -- long pause -- "exceptionally well. So well, I am still astonished about it myself," Teja says. "Despite woe and murders."

"I'm glad." Shufti says. "Do you know anything about the murder that you haven't shared with Security?"
