Squirrel God Day Party

Coreen hurries around as she works to get Joe's party ready as quickly as possible. The bonfire has been lit, the food is cooking, and the lighting looks perfect. It is not meant for a just a few people; this party is meant for all in Bar that would want to participate.

The tables are set in white with leaves stitched together as a makeshift

Amanda is absolutely beaming as she approaches the woman, "Hello again." she greets Coreen.

"This looks amazing." as she gestures to around.

"Hey! You really think so? I've been working on it for a little while now. Nothing too fancy, but really nice all the same. Here, have a lei." She sets a ring of wildflowers over Amanda's head.

"I'm hoping he'll like it. I do."

"It is very tasteful. I would know. I've been to alot of parties." not always ones she was invited to.

"Thank you." she bows her head to make it easier for Coreen.

"I can't imagine that he wouldn't like it."

Coreen beams at the praise. "I'm glad. I was trying to go for something really mellow and fun. I did the table cloths myself."

She pats Amanda's shoulder after the lei is around her neck. "You're welcome."

"Parties for other people always make me nervous." There's a stoic shrug and a glance around. Best party I've ever thrown.

He's really easy to spot.

Actually, he always is, except in the forest.

One tall, blond and mutant semi-pretendy Squirrel God, barefoot, dressed in cargo shorts and a plain grey t-shirt, approaching the party. He is accompanied today by two young squirrels--Stella perched on his shoulder, and Stanley on the top curve of his tail.

Coreen waves to him, with a big smile on her face. This is the person she wants to see his reaction to all her work.

"Well?" she calls as soon as he's in a reasonable amount of ear shot, not to disturb anyone.

"Mmmm."

He draws closer, leans in to give her a playful lick behind the ear.

"The Squirrel God accepts your offerings, and is pleased. It has been decreed: prosperity and good food for all."

He grins. "You've been busy."

"Mmmmm yourself." She says and chuckles. He gets a big hug from his ever-growing girlfriend.

"He better accept after all this, and you should too." A wink.

"I have been. Now aren't you glad that you had to play by yourself today?"

And look, there is a Devil, reading the disclaimer and grinning like only the Devil can grin.

Coreen, being hostess, can be easily spotted. She will be terrifically sweet and helpful as usual, though she might be sporting what can only be described as an awkward smile.

That would not do, not at all... Lucifer wanders over, greeting the young woman with a hug and a peck to the lips. "Relax, dear..."

This just makes the smile even more awkward once her nose and her brain finally click from the other night.

"Oh, yes. Relaxed."

She hugs back.

"It's lovely that you could make it to my party for Joe."

Cal approves of parties. Especially those of the more relaxed variety, where the emphasis is on - well, anything other than orchestrating other people's opinions of you.

It helps that he does, in fact, know the hostess, and can guess where the squirrel part of Squirrel God came from.

Coreen also approves of parties.

"Hello Cal! It's lovely to see you again. Welcome!"

"Hi, Coreen," Cal smiles. "It's good to see you. This is a nice party you've got going."

He means it. The food looks good, the attendees look like they're enjoying themselves, and the leis are a nice touch.

"Thank you! I've been working my tail off trying to get everything ready. But, it's working."

She preens at any and all compliments. The fact that she did most of it by herself doesn't hurt either.

Heyyyyy, party!

He reads the sign, grins, and immediately looks around for Ryu. Before he can find him, though, he spots the white daisies.

"Hey! Coreen!"

Coreen turns at the voice. "Enzo? Is that you?" She smiles and waves.

"Yup!" He beams as he approaches. "All back to normal!" Funny, he's still the same colour.

"This your party?"

"Yes! I'm throwing it for my boyfriend, Joe."

She pauses.

"Would you like some snacks? We've got a bunch."
