Coreen hurries around as she works to get Joe's party ready as quickly as possible. The bonfire has been lit, the food is cooking, and the lighting looks perfect. It is not meant for a just a few people; this party is meant for all in Bar that would want to participate.

The tables are set in white with leaves stitched together as a makeshift

Amanda is absolutely beaming as she approaches the woman, "Hello again." she greets Coreen.

"This looks amazing." as she gestures to around.

"Hey! You really think so? I've been working on it for a little while now. Nothing too fancy, but really nice all the same. Here, have a lei." She sets a ring of wildflowers over Amanda's head.

"I'm hoping he'll like it. I do."

"It is very tasteful. I would know. I've been to alot of parties." not always ones she was invited to.

"Thank you." she bows her head to make it easier for Coreen.

"I can't imagine that he wouldn't like it."

Coreen beams at the praise. "I'm glad. I was trying to go for something really mellow and fun. I did the table cloths myself."

She pats Amanda's shoulder after the lei is around her neck. "You're welcome."

"Parties for other people always make me nervous." There's a stoic shrug and a glance around. Best party I've ever thrown.

"Really?" she looks impressed. "Someday you will have to help me with my technique." Amanda knows Coreen will be too busy for a decade or so.

"Nothing to be nervous about. People will come and fun will be had."

"I'll make time to show you how I did it. I think it'd come in handy for making tree-shelters too."

Coreen fidgets with the knowledge that she may or may not be that busy.

"I hope so."

Amanda moves around to rub Coreen's shoulders gently, "It's going to be fine."

"Oh wow, thank you. That...feels lovely."

Coreen may turn into a puddle if Amanda isn't careful.

Amanda smiles warmly, "Anytime." she continues just letting Coreen relax for a moment.

Coreen takes a deep breath and lets it out. "This dress is some of the linen you brought me. Thank you again."

"It was my pleasure. I'm glad you were able to make use of it."

"What have you been doing with yourself...other then being pregnant and sewing."

She grins. "Well, planning this...making a surprise for Joe, and well, being generally hedonistic. The usual." She grins.

Amanda chuckles, "Just be sure that you take some time for yourself."

"I went camping the other day. Had a good time. Went to the spot where it sends you back if you wander off too far? Just stayed there for a day."

"That sounds like a great place to get away."

[coreenfennel]

"Best I can do under the given circumstances, you know. Can't go back to Toronto, can't visit anywhere else. Once the baby's born, Joe and I are talking about going hiking in the mountains."

Coreen pauses and looks for the nearest table.

"Why don't we have a seat? Are you hungry?"
