Journeys in self-discovery and destiny are very, very tiring, Teddy's found. That might be why there's a short-haired orange tabby curled up in the corner of the couch, taking a very literal catnap after arguing some with Billy and talking with Teja ( Read more... )

The cat looks so content and Tumnus is feeling rather the same so he sits next to it, stroking along its back as the fur on his legs adds some extra warmth.

Teddy starts purring involuntarily--he's pretty good at being a fake cat sometimes--before realizing that the one petting him is a complete stranger.

"Uhh? Ello?"

Tumnus is used to Talking Animals and so smiles down at him as he keeps petting,

"Hello, you look as happy as I feel. I'm Tumnus."

"Mmmnot actually that happy," he replies unhappily. "I'm Teddy."

Tumnus... sounded vaguely familiar.

...A catnap sounds good right about now.

The evenings are getting chillier, even with a fire in the fireplace, so there may be another cat curling up sleepily beside Teddy.

"'Ello, Yrael," Teddy says tiredly at the other cat steps closer, and snuggles a little closer.

Ravin is just watching the cat. She is not really a cat person, or a pet person in general.

But she watches.

That's funny--was the cat watching back before?

Is that really a cat?

Considering this is Milliways?

Well, Realcatness is a 50%, maybe 40% probability. That is one of the reasons why she is observing the orange tabby carefully.

Of course, she could just check for magic and such, but that would be very impolite.

No magic here. Shapeshifting ability is another thing entirely.

But this is fun, pretending; like a variation on 'hide and go seek'.

"Mrrrroww," goes the not-quite-real cat.

Suzi blinks at the cat several times, then says, "Hi, Teddy."

Sime senses. She zlins him.

He stretches around sleepily to face Suzi, coming a little closer to cuddle against her. "'Ello. How're you?"

"I'm fine." Suzy says, obediently scritching him with two tentacles.

"That's good," he says with a very uncatlike sigh, as he leans into the scritches.

How would he feel about a guilty boyfriend?

Because there's one sitting, just over there.

Well...

How would Billy feel about a lapcat-not-cat? Because there's one padding over to snuggle in between his legs. He's tired, and Billy didn't do anything wrong.

Billy enjoys lapcat-not-cat! He strokes Teddy's head, and scritches behind his ears. "Hey."

Teddy purrs back profusely--some things just come automatically--before flopping sideways into Billy's lap.

The look in Teddy's eyes is a very human one: don't worry.
