The narration needed a distraction from the stupid, so Eduard's around! He's practicing sleight of hand tricks with a small red ball at a table.

There's that lemonade to one side too. (Yes, with ice. He's not getting over that.)

Zoe convinced SARAH to bring her to Milliways and -not- hover for once.

As soon as she leaves, Zoe starts looking around for interesting people. The boy practicing magic tricks seems interesting so she walks over to his table.

"Hi," she says with a smile.

The second red ball drops out of his shirtsleeve. The boy with the curly hair groans and mumbles something in German.

"...Hello," he throws in a soft voice towards the girl, without really looking up.

Once he does, he actually does attempt a sort of smile. He's more irritated at the balls than Zoe.

"Mind if I join you?" Zoe asks.

"I don't mind."

Eduard stuffs both balls in one pocket, rolling up his sleeves. "I was trying to practice, but I think that might be enough for today."

Dinah knows a little slight of hand- not a lot, but a polite man in the bar taught her some coin tricks once, and she's very good at physical learning. She also practises hard.

She has a Frappuccino in one hand and a burrito in another as she stands in the middle of the bar. She had been looking for a place to sit, but now she's watching the ball, slurping on her straw.

It's a simple trick, really: hold the ball in one hand, wrap your fingers over the ball, and when you open them again --

-- not there. It's in his other hand.

It probably would look impressive to Havelock's wards. Eduard hopes. Regardless, he doesn't realize he has an audience.

That's probably because it takes Dinah a few minutes to remember it's rude to stare. She's too fixed in learning mode.

After a couple of tricks, though, she approaches, grinning.

"Could you teach me to do something like that?"

"I don't think you would want to learn from me," Eduard replies bashfully, looking up at the dark-haired girl who approached him. "I am just learning as well. I might teach you incorrectly."
