[OOM:
Five Days Away and
A Favour]
David enters the bar through the front door, and brushes a little snow from his shoulders.
He looks around and thinks: it's just the same.
He takes a backpack from his back and sets it down in a booth, looking for friends or lovers.

"Sorry."
The word he meant was, "Hi," but apparently his brain felt "sorry" was more appropriate.

"Don't be like that, please."

"H-hello, David, is it? My, uh, my name is Natalie...and I think you're...well, you're friends with my fiancee? Nick?"
She laughs nervously.
"If I'm wrong about this...sorry. Just, uh, I was hoping I could meet some of the people he talks about all the time since I'm not really, well, social."

"Oh, I... not at all, no need to apologise," he says, raising a hand to the back of his head and smiling, smoothing down his hair.
He moves his other hand to hers and shakes her hand.
"And yes, I'm David. David Talbot. Nick's spoken of you, but I've never had the pleasure of meeting anyone he speaks of, really."
He smiles, broken tooth forgotten, and blushes somewhat. To think that others talk of him when he's not there makes him flush.
[OOC: Meh. I hate this. Slowtime okay? 'Cause I'm just about to dive into a shower and then go to bed. Work at 9am, and I'm fast approaching midnight]

"I'm like some urban myth...lots of people have heard of me, but so few have actually me. I admit...I'm not the most social of people. I spent most of our...forced time here up in my room reading some books I found. But I will admit that Nick was right about one thing: you certainly are a very nice man."
