Not right away, though.  He'll have a quick drink or two first.

"Where'd you come from, then?"

He'll have to put up with someone in a damnable good mood, though. Americans (sometimes) have the best holidays. A whole day dedicated to explosions (and other things, sometimes) has put her in a good enough mood to argue cheerfully and at length with Bar about the nutritional worthiness of a chocolate milkshake and samosas as a lunch.

She's losing, but she doesn't care. It's the principle of the thing.

He glances at her sideways, a little bemused by her dedication to the idea.

Ace is presented with a veggie platter for her efforts. It doesn't even have a dip tastier than ranch on it.
"That," She informs the hardwood in front of her sternly, "Is just not on. How 'bout if I trade out the milkshake for a fruit smoothie? That buy me any points, or are y'just made of evil t'day?"

"Likes to feed you right, does she?" Owen asks idly. "Quite right too."

"Pryvet, Owen."

He's being joined, for the moment at least, by a small Russian astronaut. Hopefully he won't mind.

He definitely doesn't mind. She even gets a slight smile.

"Morning. Settling in?"

"Hard to tell if it is settling, or after-effects of shock."

Her tone is dry.

"Well, it's only been a day or two", he allows. "How'd you like the outside?"
