There is a musketeer at the bar. He's dressed in a loose linen shirt, leather breeches, and boots. His rapier is at his waist, as usual, and his hair is combed back somewhat neatly.

There is a bottle of wine at his side, and an empty glass. In his hand is a nearly-empty glass, which he sips from occasionally, between snippets of conversation with ( Read more... )

Demeter comes in, tired again and sees Athos with his hair almost like hers and hugs him. He might end up rather dusty and muddy, fields are flooding out there.

He recognizes those arms and that skin, and smiles, no mind to the dust or mud.

"My lady, it is wonderful to see you again," a polite bow of the head. "Care to join me for a glass? Lady Bar has given me the most wonderful selection, as usual."

She doesn't want to think about her charges now, she's too tired. So she moves to sit on his lap, its comfortable there.

He moves the belt to the side a bit, and wraps one arm around her middle as he reaches for the bottle to pour her a healthy (full) glass, and presents it to her with a flourish.

"Ma chérie."

And kiss on the cheek.

Where there's one Musketeer, others can't be far behind. And Aramis reached over for the empty glass with a "I'll have this, thank you." And poured himself a bottle of wine.

Such excellent vintage here, truly.

"See you're already enjoying the evening."

"Why should I not, when the fine lady," and the bartop gets an affectionate pat and smile from Athos, "Chooses to keep the most excellent wine in stock? It is like...heaven chose to smile upon us."

As wine was a gift from God, in Athos' opinion anyway.

He had a drink of his wine, and set the glass down on the surface again before remarking, "Heaven truly did, though at times I wonder if the devil has a hand in its occupants. Met what seemed to be a demon, and fought a worthy duel out back."

Arched eyebrow.

"Did you now?" And a grin, then. "I seem to have been lucky, for instead of a demon, I have met a goddess."
