Luccio's outside, walking toward the lake.
She kept track of the dates, and is well aware it probably isn't a smart idea to be outside now. However, she's slightly worried about
another new arrival, and decided to go check and see if they were by the lakeshore, just in case.

The sound of someone running makes her stop and change direction a little.

Monk's appearance gets a raised eyebrow, but --she's seen worse.

"I'm guessing you aren't dressed that way for a costume party," she
comments, stopping a few yards away.

"No," he says, currently tangled up in a human-knot.

This is what happens when you try to get your own handcuffs off with no way of picking the lock.

When he looks up at her, he finally notices the building in the distance from the corner of his eye.

And he looks.

And his jaw falls.

"... no way."

She follows his gaze, briefly, before turning her attention back to him.
"Bar at the end of the universe? Way."

Slowly, his eyes shift back to her.

"... really?"

Fun as the rafters are, they're not that great for long-distance practice. Besides, sometimes a guy just needs some fresh air, even if it is filtered through a mask.

The Revenant is darn stealthy, but no matter what the fiction says, it is almost impossible to move through a forest without making any noise, especially if you're mostly jumping from branch to branch. Monk might just hear something above and behind him.

Of course he hears it! He's Monk.

He can also determine that the sound is of a human-sized body, which puts him a little on edge.

Funny, that's exactly what the Revenant thought several minutes ago when he heard the crashing, running noises.

The noise rustles and stops as he perches on a branch to see what he can observe about this guy besides the obvious (on the run from prison, not injured but a bit the worse for wear, kinda nebbishy-looking).

When Monk finally turns around to look at the source of the noise, he... just blinks.

Alucard is passing the time. He can't sleep so he is leaning against a tree. Avoiding the sun, it can be bothersome. The loudness of Monk's jumpsuit however catches his attention.

"Good Afternoon." he greet.

Alucard has taken on the form of himself when he was a child. His red eyes covered at the moment by his yellow reflective sunglasses.

Monk eyes the kid.

His mind is not connecting anything, right now, save for the fact that he has to get out of these cuffs and this outfit.

The fact that a kid is talking to him in the middle of nowhere does not register.

Alucard steps out.

"Would you care for some help with those?" he offers, perhaps he can read Monks mind or maybe he just knows how irritating bonds such as those can be.

"If you can help me without hurting me," Monk says, sounding a little dubious.

Mia has never seen a convict in an orange jumper.

But then, some of her best friends have been convicts before.

She was just outside, working on her magic and scouting out a good area for the party on Saturday when she sees...

Well, it's been a long time. She checks her rememberizer first, which shouldn't be a problem since, if it's who she thinks it is, he's seen it before.

And she's right.

"Mister Monk?"

She looks familiar, that much Monk is certain of, but he can't remember why.

He also can't remember who she is.

Nevertheless, he tries to smile at her.

(Given the situation, it's a little difficult to produce one.)

It's okay. It has been a long time, even for a man with a memory like Monk's.

Another thing Mia is not familiar with is handcuffs. Well, not completely unfamiliar, just unfamiliar with mobile handcuffs. She's used to seeing them attached to walls.

Once she gets closer and sees what's going on, she immediately becomes concerned.

"By the Goddess, what have you been through?"

She looks at the cuffs to see if there's any quick release that doesn't require magic, but she'll likely resort to her wand anyway. Perhaps even try wandless since it is an easy spell.

"I - they think I murdered somebody. But I didn't. I had to get away, and - "

Why is he telling her all this?

He studies her face for a moment. He knows he knows her. He knows he's seen her before and they've talked, but about what he can't remember.

And then it hits him.

"Mia?"

"Yes and no," he answers honestly.

"What happened if you don't mind me asking?"

Seras looked very worried.

"The woods happened. Running happened."

Hopefully, she won't ask about his outfit. That is not as easy to explain.
