Teja is outside this morning; but he is not sparring with his droid, or otherwise training at weapons, but sitting on a large rock by the lake and playing -- not his harp, but his guitar, for once ( Read more... )

"A brooding warrior?" Loki thinks to herself.

"Are you a Skald sir?" she says out loud approaching in plain view. Warriors can be a jumpy lot she has found.

"Indeed I am," Teja says. None have called him that in this place, yet; and the woman looks like one from among a people related to his own.

"I sing for myself," Teja says, "and my friends; I only once sang for my people."

Oh hey look who's there.

He dropped himself before Teja, quietly - almost apologetic in actions alone.

He'd been gone for far too long and yet... Teja with a guitar. It was almost a delight. He curled his legs under him and nodded a faint beat with the rhythm of Teja's chords. Despite his slightly bowed head and hunched shoulders, he was in a bright mood.

"Greetings, Toki!" Teja said.

His entire face lit up, but he kept playing. Toki would never have seen the Goth smile like this before.

And it sorta scared him. When the litmus test for Brooding Swedes was Skwisgaar, and Skwisgaar smiling meant two things - destruction or sex, the expression was rather odd. "Wowee, Teja, you's gotten happy!" Was really all he could say to it. "You can't believes what we dos since I goes away. We goes all de way to Tomahawks, where Pickle's family lives, an' goes to a wedding! Den I starts writings songs all for myself! I goings to puts out a solo album!"

He blinked then, "You can plays pretty good for learnings in just a few months."

"I am happy for one reason only: - seeing you again!" Teja says. "I got your note, and then there was - nothing. I assumed your door had disappeared. Other friends vanished, also, and I started suspecting whether any would return at all."

He still keeps playing his guitar, but the smile subsides slowly.
