"A brooding warrior?" Loki thinks to herself.

"Are you a Skald sir?" she says out loud approaching in plain view. Warriors can be a jumpy lot she has found.

"Indeed I am," Teja says. None have called him that in this place, yet; and the woman looks like one from among a people related to his own.

"For whom do you sing? By your skill with your instrument I would assume a King."

[ostro_goth]

"I sing for myself," Teja says, "and my friends; I only once sang for my people."

[seid_shifter]

"Your people? Can I assume you are a monarch as well as a Skald then?"

[ostro_goth]

"I was - briefly - a king; but only for three desperate months," Teja says.

[seid_shifter]

"I see. Fate can be chaotic; the Nornir weave a clothe so tangled even Gods have difficulty understanding the threads."

Then with a bow, she says, "I am Loki Laufeyson."

Teja looks at her.

"You are not," he says, blankly.

This is a woman.

"Oh but I am. And yes I was He once. As I said, fate can be chaotic."

Loki wonders how far his...her reputation is known.

"Pardon my assumption, but if you are from the past as you seem, I am no longer as I was. In my world, Ragnarök has occurred, my wyrd complete. I have no need to destroy or usurp, Asgard fell and was destroyed."

Teja has heard much oddness in this place, and is not astonished.

"And then you turned into a woman?" he asks.

[seid_shifter]

Loki spreads her hands. "So it would seem. Or my brother is behind it. Truly it doesn't matter what form I have, I've worn many."

[ostro_goth]

"Indeed - so legend tells," Teja says.

[seid_shifter]

"So tell me if you would, Skald whom was once king, what is your name?"

[ostro_goth]

"I am Teja, son of Tagila; I was the last king of the Ostrogoths in Italy and died in battle, on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius, in the year 552 of Christian reckoning," Teja says.

[seid_shifter]

"So you are dead then? I met another dead king, though he called himself a 'Khan'. I am still unsure if this place is not unlike Valhalla. Though there seem to be living here as well."

"How large is this worldlet?"

"Not very," Teja says. "You cannot go far outside, and will then return to where you were."
