Demeter is in again with her container garden, she's worried about the rosemary, its not growing as well as she likes.

Also she's planted some more mint since she noticed that Malcolm seems to like it.

The carafe of wine is a lovely rose if anyone feels like joining her.

Teja does wish to join her; not for the wine (he had some earlier, with Attila, and ale, with Elizabeth), but to speak to the goddess about all that went on among the deities.

Her hands are deep in the soil but Teja looms,

"Hello, Teja."

"Greetings, Demeter!" Teja says.

Pause.

"You are growing your own herbs, in this place?"

"Its a garden from home since I don't have a space here. Oh yes, fresh herbs are one of the greatest joys I know."

The child peering curiously at the mini-garden matches the mint quite nicely. "You can grow plants inside?"

"Of course, you just put them in a pot."

She looks up at Enzo and blinks, Demeter has never really paid any attention to computers,

"What are you?"

"Oh. I didn't know you could do that with User plants."

Even if she had, she probably wouldn't know about this. "I'm a data sprite. From a computer. My name's Enzo. How 'bout you? Are you human or something else?" She looks human, but you never can be certain here.

"I'm Demeter and I'm a goddess and plants are very forgiving of where you put them as long as you care for them. A data sprite, how interesting."

Linguini remembers her! And how nice she was when he talked to her before. And she has plants, it looks like.

And he's in street clothes, today, which make him look not like a chef and really sort of like a gawky teenager. And starting sentences with conjunctions is totally acceptable in this day and age.

"Demeter?"

She grins up at him,

"Hello, Alfredo, do you have a day off? There's some rose if you'd like it from a vineyard near my home."

Beam! She remembers him! People here often do, but she's a goddess, and they're probably very busy.

"Thank you. Er... not exactly... my door's gone."

...this said with careful weather-reporter neutrality. It doesn't take long to start to miss Paris.

"Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear that. How long have you been stuck here?"

Ginny walks over and looks at her plants.

"They look nice."

She couldn't tell if they were growing right or not.

The mint is being slightly stubborn so Demeter answers without looking up,

"Oh yes, they're doing quite well."

"That's good. Those are herbs right?"

She's used to more alive things.

"Yes, rosemary, basil, sage, thyme and mint."
