Having sat so long with just the sound of the waves crashing against each other and the shore, the subtle rocking of the sail boat not too many feet away, and the gentle swaying of the dock, Marian was a little startled when a voice piped up suddenly.

But when she found the face, she smiled moving a bunch of sail so that there was room if he headed on to the dock. "Hello, again. And what are you doing up and out so late?"

Narration is not at all considering jokes about how renaissance girls can convince Tyler Durdan to keep promises.

Marian smiled happily. "Seems you have found me. You can sit, if you would like. I am just mending. I could not sleep and the night out here is so peaceful, it becomes another world. Stars above you and below, reflecting onward and outward."
