Eventually Spoon is there, cheek on her knee, leaning heavily. His mate smells good.

Idly she pets his hair while trying to decide whether or not to keep her commentary on the explosions. She's not sure if they would appreciate explosions. They don't appreciate much in the way of violence. Strange for a race that will fight to near-extinction in the next Time War.

Ace raps her pen against the clipboard in annoyance. Usually these things practically write themselves - it's the same drivel over and over again. She just can't seem to settle down to the task.
