Will has some mulled wine and a pie, he wore himself out earlier and is still worried about Kate but gives a small smile to Sooraya,

"Eve, Sooraya."

(OOC: Kate's going through the start of CW, I can have Will not mention specifics or not, since I have no idea how you're dealing with it and don't wish to mess things up.)

"Fair eve," she replies, smiling back. "How are things?"

He sits down tiredly and gives Najila a pat,

"'ard, Kate's come back an tis war, she e'en got captured. Canna do anythin' but 'old 'er tight an let 'er know I love 'er."

That's why his knuckles are scraped up so badly, he spent most of today outside hitting things.

Sooraya winces. "That matters, though--even if it doesn't feel like enough. A reason to keep going can make a lot of difference.
Captured--is she hurt?"

Her eyes and her body language, yes. This was a girl in a lot of pain.

"Fraulein?"

Sooraya glances up, the tension in her posture lessening slightly.
"Mr. Wagner." She nodded in greeting.

"Would you like some company? ...Aside from this fine fellow, of course."

Kurt offers his hand for sniffing. He probably smells REALLY INTERESTING, what with the brimstone and all. ...Hopefully it's the good kind of interesting.

Najla sniffs, and then yips softly, stub-tail wagging. She loves meeting new people, and the smell doesn't bother her. Her "mother", after all, smells like a dust storm much of the time.

Sooraya manages a weak smile, and reaches to push out a chair. "Thank you."
