The Rani has been in her TARDIS, doing her usual work and ignoring everyone for the last few weeks, but for some reason, she's sitting in a corner booth and enjoying a plate of grilled vegetables and a glass of water. She does, of course, have her datapad with her and her blood-red nails tap tap tap almost like clockwork on the glass screen ( Read more... )

Byers catches sight of her from not too far away and eyes the object in her hand.

Probably a PDA, he figures.

After a moment, he scribbles down something on the small notepad in his hand.

She catches him watching her.

And scribbling on the note pad.

"What do you find so interesting it requires notes?"

"Everything," Byers responds without looking up. He has to finish his little note.

Washuu, already irritable, finds the gaze to be hostile. After all, she's just looking over her daughter's design specs, does that warrant the cold look?

"Must you tap like that?"

Washuu casts a disparaging look at the datapad. "I suppose you do, with that piece of... tech."

She's had people assume she's working on a PDA. She acts accordingly now, still working.

She doesn't have time for conversations without a purpose. Or those that sound as if they'll irritate her. Hence, she keeps at her work.
