Missouri's had a good day. Told some folks some good news that was true for a change, instead of hiding the bad, and that just puts her in a good mood ( Read more... )

Will keeps finding himself by the fire, its warm and easier to not see the Front Door, he's got a goblet of mulled wine and looks tired.

When he sees Missouri when he remembers, he gives her a small sitting bow and a tired smile.

"Oh hey there. Will, right?" She waves from the couch.

"Aye, milady, tis Missouri, aye?"

The wave gets a nod and he sits up a little straighter, he's been curling up in comfy chairs since he found out about Molly not coming back.

Some of the people watch her right back.

If people is the right word for them.

Like Raven.

If she catches him looking, he'll grin at her.

It is a thing.

Perhaps.

She catches him. And when she does, her eyebrows knit together.

Raven's grin only gets wider.

He is a jerk like that.

In a moment or two he will start preening.

What?

He is pretty.

"Well, well, if it isn't Mr. Raven lookin' like the early bird that got the worm."

He's kind of cute when he preens. Kinda.

Allie had been squeezed into a little nook by the fire, reading with almost absolute stillness until something warm and homey smelling drew her out of her inch-thick green tome.

"That smells good."

This came with a small, amused smile, and rather no other opening, as was quite wont of people her age.

Even if her presence barely reflected that age at all.

"Oh, hi there," Missouri says, moving the mug a little closer to her. It's an adult drink, after all.

This little girl- is not what she seems. Missouri can't read much through the interference ever present in the bar, but what she can isn't what she'd pick up from a regular child.

"What's your name?"

She let the open book settle down to rest on her crossed legs.

"I'm Allie."

"Well hey, Allie. I'm Missouri. Got a good book there?"

Missouri's seen other kids around the place. It's kind of strange to think of kids around a bar, but it's a restaurant, too, so really, it's like any restaurant back home that provides liquor.

Sort of.

It's definitely a good option. Especially with a hint of spice.

"Good evening again," Giles smiled at her.

She puts her feet down and sits up a little straighter. "Well hey there, Rupert. How are you?"

"Rather busy, and grateful for a break, I must admit," He remarked, "How about yourself?"

"I'm enjoying my Friday night. It's been a good day, and an even better night. You want to join me? There's plenty of room by the fire."

Missouri is getting... maybe not really stared at, but definitely looked at, or her general direction watched. She looks like a regular person, but the starer has learned quickly that here that means absolutely nothing.

Still, when he sees normal-looking people he sometimes watches to see if they do anything unusual (she has her feet on a table, which is kind of unusual, so maybe she's a confused alien trying to blend in with the people?), to hone his magic-detecting skills.

His sneaky staring skills still need work, unfortunately.

Missouri's been stared at before. This boy looks kindly enough, and feels kindly enough, but it's better to find out for sure before assuming.

"You never seen a lady drinking hot buttered rum before?"

Linguini starts and turns what people in the interior design community call carmine. "No! I mean yes. I mean, sorry, I wasn't-- I just spaced out for a second."

No, he was just staring, but he has a way of being ten times more conspicuous when he's trying to do things covertly than he would be if he just did them normally that will take serious training to fix.

She smirks. "Uh huh. You might wanna watch that starin'. You stare at the wrong person here, and you might have to call on Security."

He needs a little lesson in staying alive and well, obviously.
