A young woman with a security badge carrying a toddler gets a note, pauses to read it for a moment, then looks around for the author.

The author is sitting nearby, reading a copy of 'The Hobbit' and sippig at a drink that he doesn't seem to be enjoying very much.

(He's also wishing that LJ would stop sucking and send email alerts, because really.)

Well, this isn't making it terribly obvious who she's looking for. Not seeing anyone looking for her, she looks around instead for anyone who seems to be waiting for someone.

Well, the guy is on his own doesn't seem to be enjoying his drink, so he probably didn't come in for one. Putting the toddler down and leading him by his hand, she heads over.

"Hello, is this from you?" she holds up the note.

We never said he was bright, unfortunately.

"Oh, hello." He looks at the note. "Ah, yes. That is mine. I am sorry - I was not sure how to identify myself, and I do not have a camera with which to give a photograph with it."

No, no, not that bright at all.
