[OOM: Makita's been worried about the situation at home. She has assembled a crack team, and sits them down for a briefing before opening the door and leading them into a combat zone. Guppy is drawn to blood like a mosquito.

So he cautiously approaches the heavily armed girl.

"I'm a doctor, are you okay?" he asks gently, not wanting to startle her.

"It's not mine," she says distractedly. Which is sort of impressive since there's a lot of blood. It looks like someone had a major artery opened up and sprayed most of a pint on her.

Oddly enough, that's pretty close.

"Even so." Guppy says gently, trying to get eye contact. "Looks like you've been through a lot. Did they hurt you anywhere?"

She's too busy glaring angrily at the door (and giving it an occasional kick) to look over at Guppy, but she moves automatically to check herself for injuries. A quick check for bleeding or broken bones, then another series of movements intended to locate sprains or pulled muscles. She's done it a lot, so it doesn't take long, "No. I'm good."

"Kita?" Steph tumbles out of the rafters all limbs and flying hair, dropping to a crouch beside her friend just slow enough to be registered as not-an-enemy -- she hopes.

If they're back, that means she can stop worrying! A big grin of relief starts to spread over her face.

The not worrying plan would be a good one, but Makita turns to Steph and she looks really worried. "They're still out there." There was also blood all over her, but she was ignoring it.

Cait sits up, holding the remains of her busted uniform in place; she just had a good practical lesson on the limits of her resilence, she CAN survive grenades at point-blank, and high-caliber firearms without major injury. But ow, it hurts.

Her head is ringing, she is cold, and everybody seems busy, so the tall redhead just sits down a bit, until the room stops spinning.

In a few minutes, she will stand and head upstairs to clean up: time to discover if she can heal as quickly as Freefall.
