[OOM: Makita's been worried about the situation at home. She has assembled a crack team, and sits them down for a briefing before opening the door and leading them into a combat zone. It should have been a pretty straightforward mission, but this is Milliways so of course some people who are not really suited to the mission come along for the ride.
There is quite a bit of fighting, and not a little killing, but eventually everyone makes it home. Well... mostly.]
A few hours after Makita led one group through the door, a slightly different group begins filing back through. More mud, more dirt, more blood, and more injuries mark them upon their return. Suddenly Makita comes in, tucking up into a ball followed closely by a tall redhead in a thoroughly torn combat suit. Closely on their heels follows an explosion. Fortunately Caitlin's in position to block incoming shrapnel.
Makita moves quickly, rising from the floor and rushing the door. It, unfortunately, doesn't open. She kicks it angrily, rattles it, and tries a bit of profanity, but it's clearly stuck.
So there's a seventeen year old girl covered in blood (fortunately: none of it is hers, this time) staring at the door with a combination of anger and anxiety. Approach her with caution, she's still heavily armed. Nearby there a tall redhead is sprawled out on the floor, trying to get up, bruised and bloodied.
