Meet, Greet & Congratulatea1enzoSeptember 7 2007, 13:55:29 UTC
The birthday boy is sitting in a chair decorated with gold foil next to the food tables (lots of goodies, organic and digital both, all clearly labeled), looking as happy as it is possible to get without spontaneously combusting. Come say hi!

First thing seen of the rhythm guitarist (and the redheaded drummer following Toki around like a lost, drunken puppy) was a large black giftwrapped present with a shimmering red bow wrapped around it. "Haaaaappy Birthsday!" Said Toki. "Dere's is a big lots of presents in heres. Dey's is all individually wraps, so you can unwraps dem all now, or waits 'til you gets home."
He paused as a group of six or so masked men ascend the stage carrying equipment.
"I brings roadies along to helps with the setting up. Hopes you don't minds."
Toki and Pickles are up at the crack of noon in their world, but it's luckily only morning in the weird Place Beyond the Door, so they were strikingly motivated as they (and roadies they'd brought along) set up. Skwisgaar was sleeping in.
Pickles was in a fairly decent mood, for having to play a kid's birthday party. He hadn't played a small (and this would be considered small? the narration knows not) gig in many years, so he'd been looking to it. Fresh faces, a new crowd to rock.
Amongst the tuning of guitars, and the setting up of the drumkit, he was muttering into the microphone, "Check. Cheeeeeck. Birth. Death. Kilt. Okay, down a little. One, two. Nanomachines. Okay, great. Toki, get yer makeup on. You, Roadie. Get Skwisgaar outta bed and ready to go, we've got a birthday to rock here."

Toki rushed behind the stage and two of the dozen roadies went off to help him with the makeup. He was so bubbly, it was almost like he felt the birthday party was for him! How awesome! He never thought he'd be celebrating a birthday for someone who lived INSIDE A COMPUTER! Makeup applied, he bounded up on stage and awaited the lead guitarist's arrival.

It didn't take much longer for Skwisgaar to arrive, already done up, nose wrinkling faintly at the sunlight, at least the paint would keep him from getting burned again.
"Ja, hokay, I's is here before is evens anytime likes when we's is usually gets up." There was an underlying tone of 'this better be worth it' He needed his beauty rest after all.
Gigglin quietly, Matilda leaves a small, brightly coloured package decorated with a ridiculously huge fluffy bow. The tag says (in binary-encoded ASCII, because she thought it would be funny) "Happy Birthday, Enzo! -Matilda".
The prototype, with all the wires connected up, was roughly as large as a small gardening shed.
Now, however, in a screen about the size and shape of a standard DVD case, is an endlessly cycling image based partly on a few fractal algorithms Tilda looked up and partly on some really interesting screensavers of fireworks she's seen around. As an extra it contains an orientation sensor, so tilting or shaking it changes the patterns.
The whole thing's hardwired, of course - not so much as a single word of programming language involved. Wouldn't want to chance its being accidentally sentient, after all.
Congratulations, Enzo: your very own pocket explosion! Batteries included!
Momiji is standing out of doors, clutching a small box wrapped in a rich, red paper with a fluffy bow on top. He looks, at the moment, terribly confused - large birthday parties aren't something he's had much experience with. Still, he's hovering around, holding his package with a clear self-consciousness...and scanning all around for someone with a two year-old, so he can deliver his gift.
None of those around here that the mun knows of. However, Enzo sees the bewildered boy with the package, and, figuring he must be looking for either him or the gift table, waves to him cheerfully from the meet-and-greet thread.
..Aaaand out a ways from the stage and the locations of easily destroyed objects, a pair of mookbots hover in mid-air with their jets going, next to a sign.

Free Bot Rides!!!
They wanted to help out somehow...
Reply
What are those?
"I'd like a bot ride, please."
Reply
"Red or Blue for your ride?"
It's where one of these two volunteers to carry you around the lake, and if requested will do loop-de-loops and barrel rolls for the rider.

But of course.
"And I want loop-de-loops and barrel rolls!"
She likes flying on Tom's broomstick, after all.
