Oh GOOD. Because Ray? is so in it up to his eyeballs.

Metaphorically, anyway.

"Master Kau!" Ray calls, jumping to his feet from where he's been working on his situational analysis. "master Kau, there's been a problem!"

"Of course there has, Ray! That's the nature of literature!"

Kau stops and turns his head, raising his singular eyebrow and then hefting his bag (and chickens) more firmly.

'Has there? It is fortunate that I brought supplies with me. Explain, if you would.'

"People all over the bar, from every walk of life and from many different cities and countries, are all saying that they've met a woman who's more wonderful than anyone else they know," Ray says. "Some of them say it's their sister, some of them say it's their wife, some of them say it's their lover. They all give different names, and they all act as if she's the greatest thing in the world, and she takes all the credit for all the good things they ever did. And they get really hostile if you try to convince them otherwise. They're not even thinking straight!" He pauses for breath. "I think it's some kind of demon."

"Mary Sue! She probably counts."

Kau's eyebrow lowers, now, and his lips purse into a scowl of consideration. He nods as Ray continues to talk.

'I know a spell which should help break people free of foreign influences.'

"Oh, chickens."

Kira is rather sad. She would like to be vegetarian, and probably would if chicken soup weren't soooo good.

However, she also feels for the squawking chickens.

. . . also, feathers.

"Chicken blood and soysauce! Cure for all ills!"

Master Kau nods and shifts the chickens a bit.

'Yes, I am teaching Ray Stantz the taoist ghost-removal skills.'

Kira is skeptical of his claim.

"If it was bad breath from my canon, soysauce and chicken blood would cure it! Either that or sticky rice."

Kau assures her, beaming.
