Things have been fairly quiet back home for Master Kau, and he hadn't found the door to the strange place at the end of the universe again. This doesn't mean that he thought it was a dream, oh no. Obviously he was being given time to prepare for teaching Ray. This is why when the door opens on Milliways for the second time he leans down to gather up a large bag, a brace of squawking chickens, and his peach-wood sword before entering the bar.
