Sometimes even kami need breaks from planing and plotting. Which is why there is a ball of white fluff curled up in one of the tables centers. Two sleepy blue eyes can barely be seen peeking out between what looks like four tails that have helped to create the ball-ish shape of the little kitsune ( Read more... )

"I remember you!"

Yes, it's uninspired, and one might even say 'insipid,' but it's true; and behind the vapid message, the voice is genuinely pleased.

Somewhere in the ball of fluff there is yawning and slight movement. A bright blue eye turns all sleepy-like up towards Harding to watch him for a second or two before she stands. Yawning once again the little kitsune shakes from head to the tips of all 4 tails with her furr poofing out before falling back flat.

The little creature jumps and hops across the table to where the man is standing before ploping down with another yawn. "Good evening, Harding-san. It has been a while since last we spoke!"

Harding jumps back, face shocked, before it relaxes and he laughs.

"I guess if you can turn from a fox into a human, I shouldn't be surprised if you can talk as a fox, too."

He looks at her for a long moment. "May I--may I pet you?"

"If," the little white fox says with a grin upon her vulpine face, "you promise to get a spot on my back? It has been itching and I dare not try to find a chopstick or..ah..a fork? to get it." Her ears flatten a little in dismay for itching spots were bad and bothersome.

When one was shorter than the tables, one had to get creative if they wanted to play with fuzzies.

Hence, Ana crawling up to stand on a chair so that she could bury her face in the fox's side, either purring or attempting to blow a raspberry, difficult to say.

Startled the little white ball of fluff peeks its head out between two of her tails to watch the human-like child burying her face against her furr. She can't help but giggle a little before scooting herself closer to the wee one.

Inari reaches out a paw tapping the table once her head is hidden again towards Ana in a very playful fashion.

There was another purr-or-raspberry before she squealed in delight, poking, gently enough, at the questing paw, "Toes!"

This was clearly the best discovery ever.

*patpatpatpatpat-SCORE! the little white paw made contact with Ana's little hand, laying still long enough for the little child to play with her toes before rolling onto her back and her tails falling away.

Once the form is revealed the little white fox watches Ana from upside down with now two paws playing with the smaller hand.

(There came a sound into the room now. Not a noise, a humming melody from somewhere off in the direction of the outside, where a man now came in from. He was a well-dressed fellow. In fact, let's just face it, he looked fabulous most of the time. New words and phrases had to be built in order to accommodate the existence of Spider Nancy, a charismatic explosion amongst mortal beings. This was, of course, because he was a god and spider. The tune he was humming was, ironically, the Spider-Man theme. No one can be sure as to why, unless it was a deliberate gag on his part. So saying, his usual entrance-and-drink-a-thon was interrupted by his keen senses, which told him that something more on his level was in the room. His eyes rested on a form that may as well have resembled a tribble...but wasn't. He approached the kitsune with interest, then cleared his throat to say ( ... )

One of the four tails twitched something and an ear perked its way out from under it. Someone had just said a very special set of words around the kitsune kami. The ear twisted and turned till it found the direction that Spider Nancy was standing in before the head soon followed.

Two sleepy bright blue eyes blinked a few times at the light before locking onto the figure leaning over towards her. "I," the little white ball of fur replied in the sing-song voice, "think that I have just made a new friend."

Standing the little fox uncurled the four tails from around her, shaking from head to tips of said tails before looking back up at the man. "Do I know you?"

(With the acceptance of the notion that the afore-mentioned drink should be fortified, Spider accomplished the acquiring part of the drinking deal by making hand-gestures at the Bar, which understood without fail.)

"Mmm, not really. Spider Nancy is my name, and being a god is my claim to fame."

(The order came in the form of a bottle and two traditional Japenese sake-glasses. Spider was a god who gets around, so he knew all the things involved in enjoying life and such. He sat down and gladly poured the wine.)

"We've never met, but I read the odd lore and I recognize the signs. Always nice to have a word with those in the same racket, provided they're of an agreeable nature."

It would just not do for a fox to be drinking rice-wine from a sake-cup in a very unrespectable fashion around another kami thus the reason why, in the blink of an eye, there is soon a woman sitting on the table across from Spider Nancy. Her hair down to her clothing is all traditional of a period way before many folks in the bar's time. If Spider Nancy knows his history he may be able to pinpoint somewhere around 221 BC.

Bowing her head in respect towards the man at her table she smiles a very sly little smile at him. "It is always a pleasure to meet a fellow kami here at this Milliways. To share a drink with one is even more honorable."

No matter how many tails you have, the base form is still vulpine.

Ah. Another fox. Not many here in this place.

And this one happens to be a sleeping fox. Or was asleep. There are now a pair of bright blue eyes watching the floor as carefully as she can under one of the four tails that has her covered up.

Something is in the room that smells really familiar...

Fox scent is rather distinctive. And to some, rather pungent.

He hops up onto a chair, and then to a table.

Yes. There is another fox here.

Eeping a little the little white fox head vanishes back in amongst the tails before finally she uncurls herself, staying low against the table with the most curious of expressions crossing her vulpine face.

There is also much sniffing from her little spot at the center of the table.

Carefully the kitsune reached out a paw towards the red little fox tapping the table with it questioningly.
