"Finally." Ravin hops into a stool. "I want a double." She closes her book, and it vanishes...

"Which things... and how bad?" Oh, bad things happening. That could be amusing, to say the least.

"Death, being the most unfavorable."

[lichvell_r]

"If that is the worse, the rest msut be really tame. Death is just a passage, not an end." Oh, yes, did I mention that Ravin is 'gothlike', nihilistic, and a necromancer? She is not afraid of death.

"Heh. He didn't say 'how' I would die. It could be terribly painful - most likely would be. You have any idea how frightening it is to have a faerie want to..." And the skull visibly shudders.

"So, the problem is not the death. Is what this faerie would do to you -before-." Okay, that is a serious concern; Death is simple, the agony is not. "So, you have to stay inside. And you do not get to interact much with... the world, in general."

[wizard_dresden]

"Not especially, no. But Harry lets me out from time-to-time for various reasons."

Okay, Bob's down-playing a lot - what gives? He's usually raring to get out.

"You ever tried possessing a Golem body, and controlling it? Would let you explore, and you would not have to leave."

[wizard_dresden]

"Actually, when I get out, I get to possess Harry's cat."

Whoa - my turn. "Golem body?" This sounds all kinds of Tolkien to me, but I could've missed something.

Ravin nods. "You start with a normal golem, but you do not add the inscriptions to make it have intelligence. In place, you carve scrying sigils, and connect them to a ritual circle where you can place the skull... and Bob should be able to control the body like if it were his."

[wizard_dresden]

"Oooh - Harry, that sounds interesting."

I wince. "I have enough trouble keeping him out of trouble as it is. I think we may have to wait on this one."

"Maybe if he felt less trapped, he would not get in trouble so often." Hey she might have a point there... Bob might behave if he has the chance of going out more often.

That - that makes me laugh... a lot.

"Oh, I really don't see that helping. He's trouble waiting to happen if I let him out. Girls dorm's are not safe at all."

"Oh?" She raises a brow, and looks at the skull. "A spirit with an interest in girls, really? But there is not much he could do, unless the golem body is done in a very specific way." Aka, go Frankenstein on it.

I scowl a little. "Will you stop giving him ideas? I have enough problems."

"What, the worse that can happen is him convincing me to do it for him..." Okay, now Ravin is just being mean. It must be the absynthe.
