That is an awfully large pile of cookies was the thought that originally passed, before her eyes were stolen by the pile of things on the table near them.

There were shiny and some of them seemed quite unknown to her.

After a few long moments of looking at them, finally coming back to herself and her vague intrusion per her own culture, there is a rose blush on her cheeks when she interjects, "That is quite a collection."

Raven looks up, grinning.

"You are fond of bits and pieces, perhaps?"

Beat.

"Or possibly cookies?"

Marian gives him a grin, feeling impulsively glad by his response that the intrusion wasn't noticed or wasn't felt to be an intrusion.

"Or both."

"You are hungry, then?"

His grin is just as bright as before.

"I am not always so unfond of sharing, I do not think."

Coyote peers over the stacks. "How many of these are stale, you disgusting magpie?" she asks amiably.

Raven makes a face at her.

"Mostly the ones you will take, yes?"

"You are a hopeless liar. I would not eat cookies from your pockets. You like them too sweet, and I know what sorts of things you keep in there beside food." She raises an eyebrow at him.

Raven snorts.

"You are objecting to eyeballs, now? It is almost surprising, I think."

It is possible Mary Anne has been watching for a while.

"You have frighteningly deep pockets."

Raven beams.

He is very smug.

Perhaps.

"There are, I think, reasons for that. Also it is better for cookies."

And stars. Funny how that works.

"I imagine so."

There are no comments on the linty state of some of these cookies.

"Things are good with you?"

Raven laughs.

"Mostly, yes. It is not so bad a change, that one."

Mostly.

"And for you?"

Here is someone who has not been present in the bar for some time, now.

There is a faint smile curving Moiraine's lips as she glides across the floor toward him.

Raven looks up, grinning, and fishes around in his pocket.

It is not grapes he flings at her this time.

Instead it is an apple.

The pastel duck cookies are for later.

She catches it neatly, but shakes her head as she sets it on the table.

"Not today, I am afraid, Raven."

Moiraine does not wait for an invitation before she seats herself, however.

Raven's head tilts, though he fails to blink.

"There is reason for that, perhaps?"

If she is being stupid, he will shove food down her throat.

It is a brother thing.

Shiny things attract ravens of all stripes.

A coin is picked up from the pile and given a cross-eyed examination by the other raven.

It is still shiny, but not so shiny as a new coin.

Raven blinks at the newcomer.

He does not look wary at all.

"You are collecting, perhaps?"

"No. I have no place to put things yet."

Pause.

"The rafters can only hold so much."

Raven considers this for a few moments.

"That, perhaps, is very true."

Beat.

"You are not for having pockets?"
