There is a figure sitting in the dark looking whistfully out the window. Bar has provided a very big pair of sunglasses, but even then that might not be enough to combat the headache of epic proportions that John Preston is fighting.

He might look familiar. Then again? He might not.

Look? No. Zlin?

If the fact that Suzi is now trying to be small enough that she probably won't get hit is any indication, yes. Yes, she recognizes him.

If it's possible for two people to recognize one another and make a conscience effort to avoid one another-

Preston swallows and adjusts his sunglasses. The nice thing about these is, you can't tell when his eyes move this way and that.

So-while his gaze is still directed at the outside? His eyes are on her.

Knitting. Yes. Knitting. LOTS OF KNITTING. With all six sets of needles. Knitting. There is knitting. Meep?

Suzi does not want to get hit again.

And along comes a big tiger, who settles rather nonchalantly at her feet.

"Hello!"

((Suz is pretty much telepathically null. I'm willing to let the Tiger "talk" to her, but he's going to have to "shout" to get heard at all.))

There is a BIG CAT at her feet. And it doesn't zlin as Khemrys. Suzi's expression can probably be summed up in big cat!. Also? "Meep?"

[No problem! :D]

Tiger tilts his head, giving her big!innocent!eyes.

He was looking for a place to flop, and Suzi's feet seemed like the best spot to do so in!

It is very hard to pull off innocent when you weigh five times as much as the person you're flopping on. And have teeth. And claws. And teeth. And claws. "Meep?" She says again, staring down at the big cat. "D-do you know Khemrys?"

"Wow, those needles're really flying," observes Belar, who's only just turned up.

He's like that sometimes.

"MEEP!" Only gods and the dead can sneak up on Sime, really. One needle, empty of yarn, really does go flying as she jumps at the sudden appearance of Belar. "Hi, Belar."

"Oops. Sorry, Suzi. Didn't mean to scare you there." Belar glances at the needle. "Come back here, you." It does. "How's it going?"

"I'm nervous." She says...probably without needing to, really, because Belar tends to be good that way, "I made you a scarf? Do you want it?" A ventral digs into her knitting back (tucked in the chair next to her) and pulls out a teal-and-royal blue polar bear scarf.

The last time Johnny saw somebody move that fast, they were outrunning a stray bull. Since he'd spooked the bull in the first place, he'd felt kinda bad about it.

Strange appearing bar or not, s'too early for anybody to be that nervous. She doesn't look like a fan..

Too far away to judge any differences, Johnny approaches cautiously, concern evident, "...Excuse me Ma'am? Are you all right?"

She's got tentacles. She is, in fact, knitting two scarfs at the same time by using one set of tentacles as well as her hands, "Suzi, please." She says, looking up at the strange man, "I'm, um. Getting ready to go into an interdimensional war against malevolent oil. I'm okay other than that?"

The nice thing about growing up in a Carnival is that you learn not to say anything about people who look different. The time that someone did make a joke about the "Amazon" who was in fact seven feet tall and female, Johnny punched him in the nose.

He was about ten.

If Johnny had a hat, he'd tip it, "I'm Johnny." Don't be surprised if he forgets to call you Suzi. He's from Texas and he was raised to be uberpolite.

"......Could you repeat the last part?"

That sounds like a bad TV show movie plot.

"I'm okay other than that?" She says after a second to figure out what the last part was. She'll just keep reminding him. Ma'am, like Miz, is a Junct term.
