Danny's learned to hear and respond to Matt's nonverbal cries of distress. He pulls out a chair and sits down beside Matt, giving him a skeptical look for a moment before he says anything.
"You could at least write something. Even if it's terrible."
Silly Danny. He assumes Matt's having issues with the writing...
Sidelong glance of interruption and companionable irritation. "Sometimes I do things that don't involve writing, you know. Every blue moon or so, I express facets of my personality and life which have nothing to do with the noble craft of writing."
Hey, they're in a Bar at the end of the universe: if anything's possible, then it's possible that Danny might actually buy that.
"I have no doubt that you do things unrelated to writing. But unless it's got to do with a woman, you usually don't do this sort of thing." Beat. "So what's your problem this time?"
