Points of reference are for wusses. As long as you know where the enemy is, who gives a good frak about anything else? Worry about that after they're dead.
"Unless you fly into another ship, or get caught by some moon's gravity. You might have a reckless streak some might call a death-wish, but not everyone else does."
Sheppard recognizes one of the voices in the argument, and glances up from his mostly blank notepad. He looks back down at it briefly, decides that his brainstorming session can wait, and starts heading over. He might as well try to do some catching up-and see if Starbuck has any ideas on how to force the door to show up.
He nods a greeting to Starbuck. "Starbuck. Haven't seen you in awhile," he says amicably as he raises an eyebrow. "I hear something about piloting?" Mentions of pilots doing near-suicidal things get his attention. After all, that's practically one of his hobbies.
Sheppard smiles, shaking the offered hand. "Actually, I'm Lt. Colonel now-got a promotion after we kinda faked nuking Atlantis." He was still slightly amazed that they hadn't ended up doing it for real.
"So what was that about stupid pilot tricks? Did somebody in the squadron here have plans for something?"

He threads their way over to Bar to see what's on the menu for tonight.
"Face it, Starbuck, we're not all as good or as lucky as you are."

"Kara's told me about you Major, it's nice to put a name with a face."
He glances at her out of the corner of his eye, yeah, he knows what she wanted to say.
