Hmmmm. I wonder what day it could be. What day could possibly have put Puck in such a generally amused frame of mind?

I wonder.

At any rate, Puck is lying on his back on one of the tables, eyeing the upside-down comings and goings of the patrons with lazy, amiable curiosity.

He is always willing to accept gifts of chocolate.

Will finds Puck's current position highly amusing. Or, at the very least, interesting.

That is probably why he's standing near the table looking down at Puck with raised eyebrows, and why Kirjava has leapt onto a chair at the same table. "Searching for a new perspective?" he asks.

Puck blinks at him, lifting his head languidly before letting it drop.

Any brightening you think you may have seen in his expression is a trick of the light.

Yep.

"Oh," he sighs, "it seems rather too late in the game to change my ways now. But I suppose hope does spring eternal."

Obviously.

Will doesn't brighten visably, which is...not a trick of the light, either. He does, however, lean one hand on the tabletop, which Kirjava rubs her cheek against. "That's what they say," he agrees. "So, why are you on a table, sweet Puck?"

Puck smiles up at him cheerfully.

"It's rather comfortable, you know."

Krauser is starting by the table. When tables are taken here, it seems to be pretty definite.

Puck gets a second look, just because he's the first person Krauser's seen doing that in a while who isn't injured or drunk.

Puck could be drunk! He just ... isn't.

Krauser gets a bright, bright smile in reply to that look.

With sharp, sharp, sharp teeth.

Krauser smiles back.

Krauser lost his friends before he started smiling like this. Otherwise they'd have told him to quit.

Awwww. Everyone deserves friends! Especially if they can give good advice on not smiling creepily!

Puck tilts his head consideringly. Still on his back.

"May I be of any service to you, sirrah?"

"Hi!"

Ingress's shirt and hands are covered with glue and glitter. It's been Valentine's craft day in the House of Arch!

Puck sits up fluidly, grinning.

"Well. Hullo."

Will you look at that kid coruscate.

"We've met before. But you were a bird, and then you were a baby."

He laughs.

"I remember you, little mistress, make no mistake. Though your name escapes me ..."

It is a Jack! With a wee bebbeh!

"Hullo, Puckling! Happy--horny werewolves day."

Hi Jack!

HI BABY.

Puck frowns.

"Happy what?"

"This holiday originally started as Lupercalia."

He adjusts the baby so Puck can see his face. "This is Keiran. High time the two of you met."

"... It did, didn't it."

Puck has the look on his face of someone slowly recovering suppressed memories. He shudders, delicately.

"Hullo, Keiran."

Keiran's lack of fur is pleasant.

Sneak sneak sneak.... well, not VERY sneaky, really, but there's a Miniver, sneakiting from whatever direction Puck is generally not looking. He leans carefully over Puck's table and places a muffin on his belly. The muffin is probably cranberry. It might be strawberry, though. It's got bits of red in it, and the top is that sugary thing so it sparkles. Yeah, it's a really shiny muffin.

Puck laughs, bubbling up and sending the muffin just a little off-kilter. He snatches it up, still on his back, and sniffs at it.

Mmm.

"To what," he says, quite audibly, "do I owe the good fortune?"

"It is," Miniver informs him, "a holiday of some description. Have you enjoyed the button?"

Puck sits up, catching the muffin deftly before it can fall.

"The button," he assures him, lashes fluttering, "is delightful."
