Hmmmm. I wonder what day it could be. What day could possibly have put Puck in such a generally amused frame of mind?

I wonder.

At any rate, Puck is lying on his back on one of the tables, eyeing the upside-down comings and goings of the patrons with lazy, amiable curiosity.

He is always willing to accept gifts of chocolate.

Will finds Puck's current position highly amusing. Or, at the very least, interesting.

That is probably why he's standing near the table looking down at Puck with raised eyebrows, and why Kirjava has leapt onto a chair at the same table. "Searching for a new perspective?" he asks.

Puck blinks at him, lifting his head languidly before letting it drop.

Any brightening you think you may have seen in his expression is a trick of the light.

Yep.

"Oh," he sighs, "it seems rather too late in the game to change my ways now. But I suppose hope does spring eternal."

Obviously.

Will doesn't brighten visably, which is...not a trick of the light, either. He does, however, lean one hand on the tabletop, which Kirjava rubs her cheek against. "That's what they say," he agrees. "So, why are you on a table, sweet Puck?"

Puck smiles up at him cheerfully.

"It's rather comfortable, you know."

Kirjava and Will exchange a look, and then he pulls out a chair and sits down at the table, near Puck's head. "You do look very comfortable."

Kirjava doesn't seem to mind the table; she's sitting near Will, her eyes on the patrons with as much interest as Puck's.

His smile brightens as they settle in.

Company is nice on Singles Awareness Day!

"How does the day find you both?" he asks, perfectly cordial.

"Fine, so far." Is that what day it is? Will hasn't really been paying attention.

Much.

"Even though we haven't spent any of it lying on a table."

"You ought to try," Puck informs him. "I highly recommend it."

ZOMG!

Are Will and Kirjava out of touch with the SPIRIT OF VALENTINE'S DAY?

Neither of them is wearing pink, there are no cards sticking out of Will's bookbag, no hint of chocolate...

It's very possible. "Maybe sometime," Will says, and Kirjava gives Puck a looks as if to say, maybe he won't, but I think you're absolutely right.

She liks sitting on tables.

In return, Puck gives Kirjava a look of and that's why you'll always be my favorite.

They can say whatever they like; Kirjava is so his favorite.

"You shan't be able to put me off forever," he warns Will.

Will gives him the look of yes I can, and leans forward to rest his arms on the table. "No, I guess not. But there's no room up there for the both of us, Puck."

Considerately, Puck slides over.

It's ... still probably not enough room for the two of them. The bar's got rules, yo.

Will eyes it, and then hails a waitrat to order a cup of tea..

Kirjava moves to take advantage of the room, and lies down, purring contentedly.

Puck sulks.

But Kirjava gets extra Favorite Points!

"I shall switch places with you, if you like."

The tea comes, and Will raises his eyebrows while taking a swallow of it. "I'm actually pretty comfortable right here."

A pause. "Thanks, though."
