One of the people taking advantage of the beautiful night is deadly little Miho, making her silent path through the inky waters. She hadn't wanted to swim during the day - not that she hadn't wanted to swim, but that she hadn't wanted the merciless sunlight to expose her mutilated back to everyone - to everyone who hasn't seen and doesn't know.

But the cover of darkness and water is enough, if she stays away from the firelight.

The cover of darkness is enough for most indeed, and there was a woman crouched upon the waters some distance from shore. She'd finally grown tired of her own laps, muscles trembling with fatigue, so there she sat, her own skin painfully detailed in scars...

But that could be a trick of the starlight above.

Miho surfaces silently, only the rippling of the water betraying her, to observe the woman on the water. She tips her head to the side, black hair spreading out on the surface of the water.

She was breathing a little heavily, just soft, damp pants in the night air as she worked to gain control of herself after her exertions. That did not mean she didn't notice her sudden companion. Her eyes did not glow in the night, no, but the gaze could almost be felt as it shifted Miho's way.

Being out here in a bikini isn't so bad now that it's night. The water's still warm, and it's not dark over here by the bonfire. She's just sitting, really, in the water, letting it lap over her.

A few ripples in the dark water and Lyrae rose up taking a breath, and nodded calmly to her. Only Lyrae's head and white shoulders were visible above the water's surface, her hair pulled back in a stiff braid.

Kira doesn't outwardly jump.

Inwardly though it's a keyboard mash.

"Hi, Lyrae." Kira says softly, straightening a bit.

Lyrae nodded calmly, her body held calmly in place in the water as if standing on the bottom, though it was far beneath her feet.

"Greetings, Child."

A fondness for swimming in the ocean had long been held by Lyrae but the sea was fairly cool and so it is at night that Lyrae has chosen to swim, generally in a more secluded cove away from the people and noise. Her tunic lay folded on a rock nearby.

It was very peaceful.

Lyrae saw him, and tilted her head as she rose to waist-deep water. A fine example of the more situational Second Age idea of modesty was exhibited plainly in Lyrae's lack of perturbation about the two-piece swimsuit, the upper half being easily seen.

"Greetings, Child."

Swimming is something that has definitely reminded Alex of home. So, by evening, he is relishing swimming again, having spent some time dozing and eating.

He waves to a few people he has met, and keeps going, wondering what the lake is like normally. He has felt it in winter, but he wonders if it is like this in Summer.

Sitting not too far from the water's edge, is Chris. She found a patch of grass to sit on, every so often stretching her feet further into the wet sand and water beyond.

Angela comes up and sits down beside her. "Hey, Chris."

"Hey, Angie," Chris looks up from the circles in the sand she'd been drawing with her fingers. "How are you?"

"Not bad," she says. "This is really awesome. I was beginning to get bummed out with all the cold and winter."

She likes it for about two weeks, after which it really starts to get old.
