Katara inna bar! With dinner! And trying not to step on any puppets.

She maintains this by sitting at the bar with her dinner, and keeping her feet high on the rung of the barstool.

She's totally botherable, otherwise, though! And looks awful happy there, too!

Mel is avoiding puppets this way: she's hiding in the rafters. Which is definitely a valid way of filling a Security shift, even if it means that if she wants food she's going... to have to... hang by her ankles... and drop hands over head to get a plate of fries.

Oh hey, Katara's not a puppet!

"Hey."

Hey, no, she's not! Those are also her fries!

Or maybe it's just her fries that are next to Mel's fries and Katara's hand got confused on the way to reaching for one.

"He-- oh, hey!" That's how that annoyed protest came to be a happy greeting! And Katara can reach for her own fries now.

"Um... what're you doing?"

"Getting fries," Mel says like hanging from her ankles is the most natural thing in the world.

Because really, it's normal-ish to Mel.

"Rats come up there, but why have them make the effort?"

"No, I mean, what're you doing up there?" Katara asks, grinning a little as she shifts on her seat, tilting her head until she's almost looking at Mel rightside-up.

There's an ex-Freedom Fighter climbing onto a stool near Katara, looking around the Bar with a weirded-out look on her face.

"What's with all the dolls?" Smellerbee wonders aloud.

Hey, it's Smellerbee! Katara's kind of excited to see her, grinning when she turns to find the younger girl there.

"Oh, well... it's just a Milliways thing. Don't worry, it'll wear off."

Smellerbee also smiles when she recognizes Katara. Jet had said something about her being here, hadn't he?

"Does it happen often?"

Jet had mentioned this particular 'favorite girl,' too. Which is why Katara is happy, rather than surprised.

"Kind of? Not this specifically, but all kinds of weird stuff happens here."

[allican_do]

Oh, no, another one of those stupid puppets that latched onto her leg and yelled at her about all his angsts and woes and--

"Oh, no, Aang!"

There are hands around him now, lifting him up to a very worried face. Which shortly becomes a very worried face with a contained smile.

"...Oh, you are so cute."

Very funny. Which is why Katara is still giggling after it's over. "Oh, no... well, at least we know it's temporary? Everything here is temporary, so you should be okay!"

Though whether it lasts hours, days, weeks, or months is anybody's guess.

Since he's still up in the air, she starts to move him to sit down on the bar and-- thinks better of it, starts to set him down on the chair next to her and-- no, that's not right, and she's certainly not putting him back on the floor.

"Um... well... can you sit or... how do I...?"

Now would be an opportune time to suggest her lap, Aang.
