Hiro has been busy -- very busy. But it's not the busy he wants. It's the busy, however, he delivers to Bar with a, "Purease give to the crew of... Sss...Su... Serenity. Delivery securetu!"

Bar takes the gift away, and Hiro sighs, content. The crew he's met has been so good to him (well, Jayne was scary, but that was logical, right?), it's only ( Read more... )

Would a Homestar Runner do?

His adventures in the cardboard fortress finished for now, he could use someone to talk to and a Cold One.

So when he walks by Hiro, his Cold One radar starts going off.

"Hey, that looks like a good idea," he says in Hiro's general direction.

Hiro's brows go up. Strongu Badu? is mouthed, but then he just settles back into his booth and nods very slowly at the armless... thing. person. whatever.

Sometimes, Milliways is just too weird.

Wouldn't want it any other way.

Homestar gets a Cold One from The Bar and helps himself to the floor near the booth. After all, it'd be rude of Homestar to take the seat in case company's coming. He takes a drink and looks up at Hiro.

"Hits the spot, don't it?"

"Ah, Cat!" he smiles at her and tilts his beer. "I am -- okay!"

"Very good, then. How is your life as a super-hero?" Lowering voice, conspiratory

"Haven't been out of bar," Hiro sighs. "Feel bad."

Guilt makes for uncomfortable bar-lounging.

A pint-sized Dalek rolls by...and then stalls out just a few feet away.

"Oh, shards!" says a slightly mechanical voice. "Need to boost the range some more."

A glittery boulder about the size of a VW Beetle trundles over and picks up the offending toy. He takes notice of the melancholy man and waves a bit of fringe in his direction.

"Hard day?"

... uh?

"...dareku?" Oh, this is the day that people want to break Hiro's brain, isn't it? Going from tiny Dalek tp-- -- boulder.

What the hell man.

This is something Naraht is quite used to. Fortunately, he's learned to take it in good humor. Another fringe-ripple and a chuckle.

"Don't worry. Even if there wasn't a No Violence rule, I'm quite harmless."

To those who aren't trying to kill his crewmates, that is.

"...okay!" he replies, and stares some more.

He'll remember politeness in a minute. Really.

There is another person by the Observation Window, a man who often finds himself seated there. He watches Hiro curiously. "Long day?"

Hiro siiiighs, not quite looking over. "I miss my friend," he repiles, before he takes a glance.

Then he gets that slightly buggy-eyed look.

Goddamn worldwide franchises.

Bond agrees with that sentiment 100%! Thus, concern shifts into exasperation, because Bond knows that look well enough.

Hiro is very quick to bow in his seat, and very nearly headbutts his longneck in the process.

"Not at all, Mr. Bond."

Hey.

Check out the blue chick in that booth over there.

Funny how much she looks like Eliza Dushku, isn't it?

....yeah, but...

Okay.

Faith. Eliza Dushku. Blue.

Hiro eyes. Shouldn't she-- but--

The blue.

It just breaks up the fanboying.

Is...

Is this one of those fanfic things? Liker Naomi, only less cute and more azure?

He's certainly staring, trying to figure this out. And trying not to be obvious, too -- but that take a backseat to figuring that out. Did she DO other sci-fi? Tru wasn't blue!

Faith can tell when she's being stared at.

She looks up at him, and one of her eyebrows goes up.

".....can I help you?"

Not that she's not used to being stared at, but discomfiting people is fun.

Hiro's looksnig slightly abashed. "Excuse," he says, and dips his head. "Ah--- What's your name?" A beat, and the realizes he's being horribly rude. "I am Hiro Nakamura!"

And this probably sounds like the shy little geek is coming on to the blue hottie, but he... dosen't quite grasp that.
