Elaine writes her name on the specials board, very carefully. She's really only been writing for a few years, after all.

Hello, your server tonight is Elaine.

She'd be happy to help you.

It's been a while since they've talked (a long while), so Phil grins when she sees Elaine serving and offers up a wave.

Elaine waves back and goes over. "Hello, Phil. And how are you faring this evening? Would you like anything?"

Phil smiles, "I'd love a cup of tea, if you're serving tonight," she says. Then she pauses, "No. Cocoa, I think. Chocolate always makes mathematics a little more palatable. Tea is a little to serene for the challenges of academia tonight."

Elaine laughs and says, "I shall get that for you in just a moment."

She goes to the bar and comes back with the hot chocolate. "Here you are. Now how have you been, Phil?"
