Is he looking for bar inhabitants to duck and cover? Because not everyone is going to. Certainly Riku isn't.

Well. Other than the one time, where he heard a cannon fire and ducked under a table for a moment. But he will never, -ever- admit to that. Because that would be something a silly person would do.

And Riku is not silly.

He -proves- this lack of silly by noticing the curious synchronicity - within a couple minutes, in any case. As he is also not the type to retreat for a bit, and he did not retreat to the bathrooms at all. We swear.

So with his complete lack of silly and complete lack of fleeing, Riku walks right up to Puck.

"What are you doing?" He demands. "Are you trying to give someone a heart attack?"

Puck blinks blue, blue eyes at him.

"Who, me, sir?"

"Yes, you." Riku's eyes are full of suspicion - but who could blame him? He was one of those who nearly had a heart attack, back there! "Who else?"

Puck glances around a moment, and points.

"That fellow, perhaps. He has rather a look to him."

Pikel was outside picking holly berries, which are currently falling out of his pack in droves as he crosses to the door.

Upon entering he hears the afformentioned cannon fire and dives for the floor, scattering holly berries all over the floor.

peeking out from under his saucepan helmet he scans the room slowly to see what exploded.

"Boom?" he says with a some what quite voice.

Puck sniggers in a rather irritatingly self-satisfied manner.

"'Twould seem so, yes."

Pikel sees the sniggering young man and while he is usually against such tactics (heh yeah right), one good turn deserves another.

Pulling a pack of seeds out of his pouch Pikel begins to mumble while waggling his fingers over the hand holding the seeds.

When he is complete the seeds glow a soft yellow for a few moments then return to normal seeds.

Holding his hand out palm up in front of him Pikel aims towards Puck and blows the seeds off of his hand.

The magic he cast upon them carries them to Puck, where they come to rest, settling themselves upon his clothes, and in his hair. should he try he could surely find and remove them.

[OOC:I hope you don't mind some Dwarven Doodad mischief.]

And of course, when one is attacked by strange magics, the sensible thing to do is dodge. It might be that (combined with Puck's really, really strong desire for the strange projectiles to not hit him) that causes them to skitter harmlessly across the floor.

His eyebrows arch.

"Do I really," he drawls, "resemble a patch of earth to you?"

River is walking slowly across the floor, heel and toe, with a mug of tea in one hand and the other gripping the edges of her present-filled skirt.

And then

(BANG)

her head snaps around, eyes wide and startled, and the tea's all over the floor.

Puck glances her way, just as quickly, and takes stock of the spilt tea.

He doesn't laugh: That's a dead giveaway.

... Knowing his luck, however, she'll guess that he's to blame regardless of how he plays it. River's good at that.

River doesn't seem to have fixed on him yet, at least; she's scanning the room, wary and poised for fight or flight, like a half-wild animal.

One hand still clutches her skirt absent-mindedly, her small pile of presents precariously balancing in the sagging pocket of skirt-folds.

Puck watches her warily.

And slowly begins to siiiiiiiidle towards the stairs.

(Not that he's afraid of her or anything. No way.

She's just creepy.)

And Nick is definitely not staring blankly at Puck.

Except that he is, and he's wearing an expression that can be described only as "Buh?!"

Puck blinks at him.

... Innocently.

Really!

Nick can't help it.

"What the hell are you doing?"

He does sound sort of amused, though.

Puck affects a pout.

"Really, it gets so dreadfully dull around here. I only meant to have a bit of fun."

He smiles placidly.

"I do enjoy watching them jump."
