Puss is more interested in the duck, following a short distance behind the bird in a casual, not-stalking at all type manner.

He may be tempted away from the bird if what's in the basket is good though.

Duck 'whonk'ed solemnly as he settled into Ana's lap, somehow he managed to look smug.

Ana smiled, "Well hello there cat. Don't believe we've met."

The duck is eyed and then Puss shifts his gaze to the woman. "No. But I am glad to ammend that now. I am Puss, in Boots." He introduces himself and as always gives a bow.

She smiled, nodding a slight bow of her own, "And I am Estsanatlehi, called Changing Woman, called White Shell Woman, called Turquoise Woman and a whole lot of other stuffy titles that don't really mean much in the end."

The young woman gets a curious sort of look from Kris, a warm smile, but the duck?
Okay, no one's ever going to believe this back home.
And the scarf...

Ana blinked, "Why the duck? or why the scarf?" She answered both without waiting for a response, "The duck is Duck, he's appointed himself my bodyguard, and the scarf is because it's cold outside and he doesn't like jackets."

She laughed then, "only if you speak duck." She shrugged, "He does peck fairly hard though, and kicks."
