A young woman walked into the bar, kicking snow off her boots at the door, smiling crookedly and carrying a basket. It was a large basket, almost the same size as one would usually use for a houseful of laundry, and she carried it propped against one hip.

Winter usually made her feel older, but the joy of cooking and making things made her feel younger, and besides that, she'd gone running around catching snowflakes on her tongue before making her way to the bar that day, which settled her at a nice happy medium age.

She made her way to a seat near the fire, pulling off her boots and sitting with her feet stretched out in front of her, wearing rainbow-striped toesocks. A duck followed in her wake, spring-green and wearing a scarf. Feel free to ask what's in the basket, she'll probably give you some.
