Cimorene is settled at a small table near the bar with her feet propped up on a chair. It's been a busy week in the Mountains of Morning, what with the ambassador from the Frost Giants visiting with his entire entourage, and she's more than happy to take a much-needed break

The narration is just saying.

Does she now? Well, this narration would just like to remind him that he'd better not spill her hot chocolate.

Ahem.

Right. No hot chocolate spilling, then.

"Good evening, Cimorene."

And yes, she gets kissed.

And a very pleasant surprise it is.

"Evening, Mendanbar," she says, smiling. She moves her feet off the other chair so he can sit.

A small green and red bag is placed beside her hot chocolate. If she can smell anything other than the hot chocolate, she should get a whiff of sweet almond cookies still warm from the oven.

"Happy St. Nicholas' Day."

She looks up at her bestower-of-cookies in pleasant surprise.

"Thank you," she says warmly. "And the same to you."

He bows his head just the once before heading off. So many little bags to deliver.
