A young woman in a sober bordering on grim black silk dress sat elegantly at a table with a cup of hot tea in front of her. She nodded to the woman calmly and spoke in her heavily accented speech.

"Greetings, Lady Michelle."

Lyrae commented with the voice of experience.

"It is who matters."

"I...have to accept that he's not - " she takes another sip and closes her eyes.

Lyrae nodded calmly.

"You do."

A pause, and a glance at Michelle.

"You should be warm enough now."

A barely restrained glare in return, but she nods.

"What do you need me to do?"

Unruly patients were hardly a matter for Lyrae.

"Hold out your hand."

Michelle does so, but is unable to shake the nervous feeling.

Lyrae held her hand gently and the golden fire around her burned more brightly as she wove an intricate flow. The humming feeling would no doubt unnerve Lady Michelle, but she would do well enough.

After a moment, she nodded calmly, and the flows disappeared as did the power from around Lyrae.

"Perfectly healthy. No anomalies at this stage at all in the child."

Michelle stifles a gasp at the sensation and squeezes Lyrae's hand.

It can't end quickly enough but she's relieved at the news. She slowly pulls back her hand.

"Thank you, Lyrae, it is nice to have another expert opinion."

Lyrae nodded calmly, and sipped her tea.

"You are quite welcome. Please, do visit at another time when you are farther along."
