Parker's at a booth, hand hidden under the table, carefully.

He's drinking icewater and looks like company wouldn't be a bad thing.

"Hey, you."

Mary Anne slides into the opposite side of the booth.

"How'd the job go?"

For a second, he looks confused, then he says, "Oh. It went ok. Kid gave me a nice cut."

Drinks only with his right hand, casually.

"How's the kingdom?"

She doesn't pay much attention to the curious absence of his left hand just yet.

"Full of sand. Family reunions are mayhem incarnate; I'm just glad not everyone's awake yet. You want anything stronger than water?"

"Naw," Parker says.

"I'm good. Don't like the family?"

Fiyero nods towards him casually.

"How is your hand?"

[misterparker]

Parker blinks at him, "What hand?"

"The one with the broken fingers that I am assuming is under the table."

He sits down across from the other man.

A frown, "Where'd you hear about it?"

A large (forty ounces) and unopened bottle of beer (Pabst Blue Ribbon) is set unceremoniously hard on the table. A wide, tilted (a very funny joke) smirk is offered.

Parker raises an eyebrow, but pulls out his keychain to open the bottle.

"Thanks."

The smirk twitches, as if Patrick might make a comment. He might chuckle. He does neither. The expression holds.

His gaze lowers.

His eyes wander, "Trying to keep it hidden only raises more questions."

Parker doesn't pull it out from under the table.

"You curious how they tried to fix your handiwork?"
