Hey look it's Amanda taking a seat. The woman is thumbing her knife as she consider torturing one of the wait-rats. Looking up she see's Sam and grins.
She chuckles, "Evening it is then." she doesn't care and suits her all the better. "Then soon it will be night." Hmm this presents some interesting possibilities. Though not hearly enough here.
As a wait-rat scurries by Amanda tosses the knife at it. Missing but scaring it non the less.
Sam lays down his book and holds out his hand, palm out. A small frown between his eyebrows, then Amanda's knife flies through the air to him, to be caught neatly.
There's another fellow with a stack of paperbacks.
John Preston's developed a very serious curiousity about books, ever since they stopped burning them in his world. He doesn't read them very often, but Bar's trying to cheer him up.
"....Is it good?"
He clearly doesn't understand the concept of books. When one is reading, one is not supposed to be disturbed.
"...Difficult." Preston waves the title, "...Difficult to understand. I don't understand why people call this entertainment." He waves the title The once and future king at Sam.

A flick of the wrist, and his own dagger appears. Flick-flick-flick. Flashing in the light.

"Not bad," he says cheerfully, showing him the cover: Alice Through The Looking-Glass. "Yours?"

Interestingly enough, he's not putting it down.
